Han-Wei earned his PhD at Penn State where he studied plant cell signaling. He has been working toward understanding the regulation of encystation. |

Dr. Angelica Klippel 2023-
Angelica earned her PhD at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, São Paulo State University. She is working on characterization of a newly discovered acidic compartment in Giardia as well as the biochemical function of EncystR. |

Emmet Stephenson Rotation Fall 2023
Emmet is a first year graduate student rotating in the Paredez lab. Emmet earned his bachelors degree at UC Davis where he gained experience working on Giardia. Emmet is studying the role of cAMP in regulating encystation. |
